Try CDGONE or the registry entry at http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7591_102-0.html?forumID=26&threadID=222984&messageID=2345534 then replace the drive.
There are those that can't believe the drive has failed. So have someone replace the drive and not tell the owner.
My CD-Rom won't work, I mean theres power but it won't play anything. I tried the troubleshoot tips of uninstalling and then reinstalling, but it couldn't find the drivers. I can't find my installation disks, it won't even play audio CD's. I bought a new game and now I can't lay it.
It is a Teac DV-516E. I think that the driver just needs to be reinstalled, but can't find anywhere, can I download it from the net or do I need the disk, what. I haven't messed with my computer in a while, so I have forgotten what I need to do. Help!
