At the shop counter these are only accepted if the owner accepts we might change out the motherboard, CPU, RAM etc.
Hello guys, I recently bought a new PSU and a new video card and I went to play some virtual reality when my computer suddenly hard froze (it freezes to the point that nothing works, the screen is a still image of the last frame before it froze, I can't use my keyboard or mouse and when I try to switch the numpad on or off it doesn't work but my keyboard still lights up the keys so I know it's not a power supply provlem). I bought a new cpu cooler and I'm absolutely sure that my cpu doesn't get too hot while playing. When I ran a cpu stress tool the pc froze the moment I clicked "start stress test" the same way that it does whole playing virtual reality for a while. My question is what could be the problem, I'm thinking it's either the CPU or the motherboard that gives me the problem. Maybe tell me if I can run some tests to find out or send it to a technician.
My system is:
CPU: FX-8350 3.4Ghz (no OC)
GPU: Sapphire RX-580 8GB Nitro+ (8pin and 6pin connected to psu, latest drivers and no OC)
RAM: 2x4GB 1333Mhz I think
PSU: Raidmax Cobra 800W Gold (RX-800AE)
MOBO: ASUS M5A97 plus
HDD 1TB (I reinstalled windows a week ago and it used to freeze before so I know it isn't a software problem)
If you need more info from me please comment and I will reply as fast as possible! Huge thanks!
