Question

My system drive says 105GB, I can only find 50.

Jul 13, 2014 8:39AM PDT

I have a 120GB C: drive and Windows 8 says it is almost full, but when I check each folder I only come up with about 50GB. What's going on here? How do I have a 50+GB ghost hanging around in there?

Hunting for space consumed is all over the web. There are folders that are not going to be included in any simple tally. If you must, try another OS to look at the HDD since while the OS is running much is hidden.

120GB is very slim for today's systems. I don't suggest it unless it's for simple uses.
