Several friends have told me, and I get the same Page not found.

In fact, a lot of your posts from today do appear in the real-time activity, but if I click them there they are not found. This one for example:
http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7589_102-0.html?messageID=3381347&tag=incmng#3381347 (subject: one wonders). If I click the link below it to the thread starter, only that is shown with 1 of 1.

The forums are having problems with that lately, regarding both old and new posts. It's also causing post counts to appear incorrect, tracked thread emails to link nowhere, etc. for random intervals. Thankfully, the new forums do not seem to be suffering from the issues, but they're not ready to go live yet. Further, only critical bugs will be fixed in the near future, so this may be an issue for a few weeks.

I'm sure Lee's looking for a quick fix, but have my doubts that TPTB would deem it a critical bug at this point. Then again, I've only seen a comparatively small number of occurrences; it may well be a critical issue if the problem is more widespread and the new forums are still a ways away from going live.

may have been what's been crapping it up for page not found errors for a long time now.
Old threads have long caused problems, and stickies often perpetuated the issue by raising the visibility of old threads. We're hoping that becomes a thing of the past with the new forums. However, this issue is affecting new threads as well as old, adding a new twist on the familiar Page Not Found.
