General discussion

My sister wants me tog et her a new mp3 player

Apr 24, 2006 7:12AM PDT

-would be her first
-she is 11
-doesn't need to much in a player but if i can get more for less then go for it
-"coolness" is a factor given that shes 11
-price,i don;t want to pay a crazy amount but price isn't that important.
-durability is a big factor as she treats things like crap lol

How many songs?

I would recommend the YP-Z5 series from Samsung for about 250/500/1,000 songs. They're priced at $150, $200, and $250, respectively.

The mobiBLU DAH-1500i is also a good option. It's really tiny and cute. Storage is 512MB/1GB/2GB. (125/250/500 songs.) They're priced at $100/$130/$160, respectively, and good if she doesn't need a color screen.

i know alot about mp3s i was just wondering what other people thought. lol kinda hard to decide for her. Not alot so 512 or 1 gig and the samsung is two big/exspensive but maybe. ALso my music isn't in file tree so the cube would make it difficult.

Two better suggestions

The Samsung YP-U2 and Sandisk c140 are my suggestions then.
