My shift key stucks up frequently.

Hi,i dunno if this is a right place to ask,if not plz give me details about where to ask this question.
my question is,my keyboards left-shift key isnt working properly.it cannot be pressed smoothly and gets stuck too often.how can i correct this problem?

The simplest solution is buying a new keyboard (assuming this is a desktop, not a laptop). A basic keyboard goes for about $10.

With the right tools you can remove the key and clean underneath or replace a broken spring. But it's doubtful if it helps.

seems to be the culprit here. so get a pen, poke it under the shift key and pop the key free and the keyboard. you can clean it and replace the spring in there.

...and if the problem goes away, new keyboards are cheap.
