My Samsung tv doesn't connect to wifi

My smart tv Samsung (UE40J6500) doesn't connect ro wifi. The net is always visible but the connection doesn't work or it's very unstable. I've telephoned to customers service but for it the problem is my isp that is blocking my tv traffic. Weird: i've many devices and they work correctly. i've phoned to my isp but the line is abosutely normal. I've a request: is it possible to have a numeric ip of the server samsung? i understood that the tv doesn't connect directly to the net but it uses a Samsung server. So i want to lunch a tracert for that adress to control if everything is normal. I've tried everything: cahnge Dns, change modem but ti never works Sad

The usual checks.

1. The router is in line of sight 20 feet or less.
2. The DNS is tested with a change to
3. The date/time of TV, router is set.
4. The TV's firmware is current.
5. There is no oddities with the ISP. I encountered one that was using an odd setup, Playstations and Samsungs do not work on that system. Well, it was a cheap one.

checks tested

the router is about 10 feet from tv. I've test the Google dns but it doesn't work. The dates in tv and in the router are correct. The firmware is the last avaible. My router is TD-W8970 Tp link. Until one month ago the tv worked great with my line

At 10 feet

Does the Ethernet work?

If so, Samsung may have to repair the WiFi module. Not unheard of but to get them to do this, you have a longer list of things for them to hear. (this one!)

WiFi is subject to interference, failure and more. I can't know what it is this time and it's one of those areas it can cost hundreds to have it fixed. That's why I test my way to what works and if I suspect the TV WiFi is gone, we have a test for that (Ethernet) and a way to replace the WiFi externally. (AKA WiFi Client devices.)

This test

Shows the TV worked but has issues with other routers.

I'm not there and take your word the ISP is not "one of those" and you did the tests.

For example I didn't read where you did the Ethernet wire test. At this point a tech would have to go and try all this. If it's the rare ISP issue, Samsung can't fix that!
