Question

My Samsung TL105 won't stay on!

Jun 17, 2011 6:51AM PDT

I've been using my camera all week (on a cruise) and all of a sudden, when we turn it on, the lens pops out for a split second, doesn't focus, and then the lens retracts and the camera turns off. I can view the pictures by just pressing the display button, but no other button function works if I attempt to turn the camera on with the power button. It's quite possible that it got mixed in with some sand in my bag, but nothing crazy. Can anyone give me tips on how to fix this problem?

Sounds like a battery problem.

Have you recharged the battery?

Not the battery

The battery seems to be fine. I've charged it, and I'm able to keep the camera on as long as I'm only looking at the pictures. As soon as I go to actually take a picture, the camera shuts off.
