Question

My Samsung Syncmaster2233 won't connect to my laptop(s).

I had this gave to me today from a friend who said it worked perfectly but had no use for it anymore...
I've looked at many websites but none of the methods have worked. I have the RGA plugged into my laptop from the monitor and the screen says, "Check signal cable" when I set to analog mode like it would if the RGA wasn't plugged in. And when I put it on digital mode the screen turns black and the blue light under the Samsung logo blinks every second or two. PLEASE HELP!!! I hope it's not broken...

Sorry for that typo! xD
I'm new to Samsung monitors and such... And in the video it requires you to go into a menu and I'm not even sure how to do that.

You would have to go to that menu anyway.

I can't guess if your setup is connecting pin 10 or not. It's a simple item to test or even correct. But I know a lot of folk that don't want to do this. If so, ask for a friend to check it out.

If your laptop has HDMI then it looks like a HDMI to DVI cable will work without having to deal with PIN 10. But you'll still need to select that input, configure your PC, etc.

Manuals are over at samsung.com
