my rebuilt PC won't start

I bought a new intel mobo, cpu, ram, SATA HD, and video card. I had them assembled and tested before they were sent to me. I've installed them in my case with my new 500w power supply. I plugged in all the cables. I've got a lit led on the mobo and the CD will eject but the power supply fan and cpu cooling fan don't start and I don't get a post. This power supply worked when I started taking the old system apart. Is there something that would cause this problem besides the power supply?
