My printer won't print PDF files

hp pc hp printer windows xp ops I can print things off comp Just can't print a pdf file. pc is 5=6 yrs old. hope this helps

Just what pgm. is viewing the .PDF file in order to tell it to print? You need to review what is actually selects some printer and defaults to it in order to print. Have you kept up with any .PDF related updates, etc., the viewer maybe. If any error, what does it state?

XP on its own does not and never could print a PDF. That's proper and well known.

To print PDF files I have to install Adobe Reader and if that can't show and print it, I use FOXIT READER from this link.
