My power supply Arrived Broken, need help picking new one.

Dec 26, 2014 3:11PM PST

I bought a Power supply and It arrived dead Unfortunately :/ .. here is the link to it. if you wanted to see it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and I have to return it for a refund! so much of a hassle lol...

I just need a Power supply that won't arrive broken and will last a decent time for a decent price looking for something around 50-60 dollars.

has to have to work with all this stuff

CPU: Intel i5 2320 4pin or something
GPU R9 270x TurboDuo Requires two 6 pin PCI-e Connectors and requires 185 watts.
Motherboard: Came with my acer computer I bought from walmart all I know is the model is H67
RAM: 8GB
1TB HDD
Optical Drive

but yeah Just need something that is going to work and all that...

Also a Few questions I have.

If I hook up all the wires and put the GPU in is there a chance something will mess up and fry my computer? what If I put a wire in the wrong slot Because I seen alot of the same plugs on 1 wire.

bit of a "noob" when it comes to the Components lol
thanks in advance Wink

Answer
You got to be more specific.

That link didn't point to any power supply. Unless there is a sale, I don't think 50-60 is enough. Separate power connection for GPU card usually only comes with high wattage P.S. and $50 might not get you one.

From what I see in the specifications,

they are pretty much the same with the exception of the EPS12V connection (one has 3 the other has 2) and 7years warranty on the Rosewell seems to say we are reliable. Personally I am scratching my head...how do they get 185w. out of that EPS12v connections but then I don't know anything about computer design either, hehe. I know nothing about gaming computer so I don't know it 550w. would be enough.
