Hello intenseflipper,
I apologize for the inconvenience & frustration. Your television doesn't support Screen mirroring. You would have the connect the device directly to the television via HDMI to the television. The screen mirroring feature didn't become available on the units until 2013. Have u checked our website to see if it was the latest firmware version?

I have a PN64D7000 and have had it for several years. I loved this TV for its intense black levels. I am a huge fan of ISF calibrations. I've been in the Home Theater business (Sales/Install) for over 20 years. I setup Samsung TV's almost everyday and have a great deal of familiararity with them. I have never connected my TV to the internet till two days ago. Now my TV wanted to update and I okayed it. Now my picture is washed out because the black levels cannot get as dark as they used to. No matter how much I play with picture adjustments, I cannot get the picture to look like it did. Also, I now have a slower menu, greyed out options like Tint and Color that I cannot access, reduced features, only two picture modes as opposed to four and it won't connect to Netflix most of the time like my clients complain about. I was hoping to be able to use the screen mirror option with my Note 2. I kept receiving a (Hardware problem) message which is why I did the update. Trying to utilize this function now is impossible because its not available. It has disappeared from the source list. I have repeated tried the screen mirror option with no success on many of my clients sets. I have received the same message as with the 4K sets too.
I thought Samsung was a descent product with useful features that would make their product stand out. I won't be recommending Samsung anymore. Seems that Samsung has cheapened their product like Sony, except Sony had quality sets for 40 + years. I don't see Samsung doing that.
I would love to be able to revert my software back to its previous version, but it doesn't look like Samsung allows for that to happen and I am sadly disappointed.
Does anyone know how to access the service menu where I can make detailed adjustments???
