Question

my phones memory card is infected for no reason.

Aug 27, 2017 3:34PM PDT

I only use my memory card for music so i dont download anything in it. Recently i downloaded some random app on google play to my phones memory now i cant use my memory card. I tried to delete everything in it but when i try to open it on computer it just makes it freeze. I cant open anything and i cant reset the memory card. I dont think its about my phone or anything but memory cards are expensive and if there is a program i can use to clean it please let me know.

Answer
What phone?

Some phones have a menu to format the card. However this won't work if the card failed. I read you call them expensive but they do have a limited lifespan and if you can't format it on phone, your PC or anyone's PC the card is gone.

My phone is general mobile, android one but when i try to open with memory card in it it says there is a problem, optimizing apps and it turns off. I cant even use the phone while the card is in it. Isnt there a program or something? I bought the card two years ago, im not sure about their lifespan.

You can try this format on PCs to see if the card has failed. And I'm sure about lifespan as we've seen dozens of failures at the shop (clients and others.)
