Question

my phone wont charge anymore (not the battery)

Jul 22, 2018 8:33PM PDT

Well I have an LG K8 2017 and it wont charge, I checked the battery but there's nothing wrong with it because my friend has the same battery ( he's annoyed since we switch when my phone battery is low ) I checked the cord and the box but they work fine also the phone port cant be dirty because I hold my phone 80 present of the time. What do you think is the problem??

Answer
Does your charger and cable charge his phone?

If so it's a bad piece/board in your phone. Check your receipt since most phones have a 1 year warranty.

I asked " Does your charger and cable charge his phone? "

Your reply about says it's charging but it's not could be your phone or the good phone.

If that happens on his phone your charger and cable are suspect.
If this happens on your bad phone then your bad phone is in need of repair or replacement.

This phone is under 40USD at https://www.walmart.com/ip/U-S-Cellular-LG-K8-2017-16GB-Prepaid-Smartphone-Blue/937515569

Out of warranty means your cheapest fix is to get another one.

NEW TOPIC.

Since your phone broken and it's just a 40 dollar phone my advice is to shop for another.

As to unlocked or not, I can't get into that yet. Add detail about the carrier you are on.

Then it's clear to me.

Shop for a new one from LG with the 6 to 9 buck a month payment plan (2 years?) or find another unlocked phone.
