Sounds like it entered some diagnostic tests.

Back to where you bought it for them to reveal how to get out of that menu. The last few times I've seen this I held down the power button until it powered off and then powered up to find it just needed to be turned off and on again.

Hi. My iPhone 4S has been acting really weird. My contact list was deleted, its running really slow, not always opening pages or the screen will suddenly go black, my emails will be there one minute and the next they are marked as "no sender", and I cannot get into my pictures to look at or delete them. And just after I put in my bank card information to buy more storage my account was hacked the very next day and someone ordered iTunes on my account. Could I have a virus or worm? I did charge it via my office computer a few days after I had a virus extracted by IT. Could it have infected my phone?

How does an iPhone 4s get a virus?

It's been many years but not one iPhone virus. Is there more to this story such as "Jailbroken" and using iffy app sources?
