Need to know full system specifications before being able to offer any specific advice .
If it is a laptop, it could be due to inadequate RAM .

I'd start with turning the hardware accelleration in Flash off (if it's on now) or on (if it's off now) and see if that makes a difference.
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337 tells how.

There can be multiple causes, for example insufficient cooling, a detoriating power supply, a bad video card, a problem with a driver. So that hardware accelleration is just a first step.

Start by updating adobe Flash. if not needed or no luck go to Crucial memory scanner they will tell you with a free scanner how much you have installed and how much if any and what type you can add. http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-info?cm_re=top-nav-_-flyout-memory-_-us-memory do the scanner not adavisor unless you or 100% sue what you have,
If your problem is just a very old weak computer there is no help. But a newer one. A friend called me to come help she could not down load a virus scan and do enmail both, Poor old lady was running a 98 with 20 G hard drive and 258 memory, I went witth her on my computer and we went to newegg and walmart .com and foind her a dell rebuilt business not top notch but under $200 so much faster then she had, She was 71 so not a gamer.

Heat?

Hi, my Thinkpad laptop gets very hot playing videos from any source, the air from the radiator is almost hot enough to burn. The machine doesn't actually stop, but it's something to check on yours.

Is it only Youtube you have a problem with or videos in general? Or just your regular browser or others?

Have you checked the event log?

It might be worth turning off automatic restart to see if you get a blue screen stop, which may point you in the right direction.
