my PC often hangs during start-ups.....?!

Mar 12, 2006 2:03PM PST

i own a clone Pentium 4 with two hard drives (1 30GB and 1 40GB) and clocking at 1.6GHz. it runs of windows XP professional edition. I installed a 512MB memory so i can keep up with my broadband provider's speed. i have installed every software imaginable that i know that i usually use, from office to ebook converter, mp3 maker to nero burning ROM. lately i installed a bluetooth toggle to my 2.0 USB port, and now whenever i boot up in the morning to start my work, my PC always end up hanging with no application that works, only the movement of the mouse lets me know that it accepts commands other than that, my PC does nothing (hangs). then i noticed that it would need a "kisckstart" application like "syncing" my dell pocketPC X30 (high) for my PC to be able to start-up properly. what do you think is wrong with my PC? (hardware or software)

appreciate it very much if you could entlighten me on this one....
