There are a few designs which mandate that. You may have one of those.
Chat with HP about that but how old is that battery and machine?
But OUCH!!! http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/hp-pavilion-zd7000/4507-3121_7-30557633.html?tag=mncol;rnav
This is your classic Pentium 4 based laptop that hits the repair counters. I know all about them which leads me to this advice. Ebay it.
Does anyone any knowledge regarding this situation.
If I remove the battery, the PC does not work from AC power.
With the battery and AC adaptor, displays says its charging the battery but the battery drains.
Switch the laptop off and the AC adaptor charges the battery normally.
I have tried updgrading the power management driver software to no avail.
Thanks for your help, folks
