Then it needs repair. Find a repair shop and ask for an estimate.

Small world.

Just last week I set up a new phone and new SIM. All good here but I know to check the carrier's coverage map ahead of time. You could be in a fringe area or maybe the phone is locked to another carrier or this phone is broken.

For me I walk up to the service counter and let them have a go at the phone to find out what's what. Here you didn't tell enough background. Some folk drop a phone or it never worked, but the story is not here. Maybe a service counter for your carrier is best.

Which is expected under many conditions.

Since you are not revealing more about carrier and more, just head to their counter to have them check settings and if it's compatible with their service.

Bob already twice said to go to the service counter and have it fixed.

Same as above.

At my home I can see same with one carrier but not another. You seem to not be reading the posts above so again, back to their counter to have them check it out and check your location.

What I didn't mention is indoor use. Be sure to go outside the building and try in each corner of the building.
