MY OUTLOOK DINNAE WORK!

Nov 22, 2004 6:50PM PST

Hi there!
I just got a nice new dell with xp pro but my outlook will not work. I'm stuck! The error message is:
Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location. The .DLL file for the information service could not be found. MAPI was unable to load the information service PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured
...which doesn't mean much to me... I've tried reinstalling - get the same thing. Any ideas apart from dump outlook - i need it for my pda thingy. Cheers. JaseM fae Dundee

thanks coryphaeus for your reply...
mine has been delayed cause i actually got it all working thanks to a frustrating but productive 2 hour call with microsoft (or some nice guy in India)
it was to do with a profile that didn't work for some reason... anyway its good to be working again

I know it's been a long time, but do you remember how you

Recently, we've received the same error message (XP pro) Outlook 2002 and Dell. I've been able to re-add my address book, but now I have a duplicate personal files folder that I can't delete and I keep getting the same message you got.

How did you fix the profile issue?
