Question

My old LG VX8300- want to transfer PIX & FLIX

Mar 12, 2013 7:34AM PDT

Hello all,
I have not used this old Verizon cell phone LG VX8300 for a few years. (I use an iPhone now via Sprint)
I recently came across this old LG phone and saw that it has 55 PIX and 8 FLIX on it. .
I bought a Sandisk MicroSD card 16GB so that i could plug it in and 'Move PIX to Card' -but-
"file size exceeds available space"

I have already accomplished photo transferring with another old LG cell phone of mine(Verizon),
an- LG VX 8350 (same approx age as the VX8300)
I used another SanDisk MicroSD card at 8GB. That phone had 104 PIX in it. Those PIX DID move to the Card that time. Why not with this VX8300 using a card that has a 16GB space and only 55 PIX?

I have an older phone and it does that unless I stick a 2GB or smaller card in it. Research your phone and see if it has similar restrictions.

And... format the card in the phone (check the manuals as I didn't.)

Good idea, I will look for the old manual ,Im sure I still have it. If not Ill go online .
Thanks Bob
By the way Im hoping that there isnt something technically wrong with the LG which would prevent me to move the pics.
I dont remember any tech issues with it when I was using it though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG_VX8300 notes the 2GB card size limit. Yes, it does mention a 4GB card but then, how you be sure it's that one?

Stick with 2GB and check the manual to see if they allow such moves.
