My new laptop is briefly freezing see youtube video

by Aaron123321123 / January 20, 2014 7:34 AM PST

It freezes during games and streaming video and sometimes when I'm just browsing the web. The games I play are compatible with my computer and operating system and the videos are often just basic youtube videos. Nothing my laptop shouldn't be able to handle. See my youtube video to see what these freezes look like. Any help and explanations would be appreciated.

Given so little detail, it's new, buggy and rather than suffer repair offers, go for full refund and pick another model.

It's a dual core i7 by HP with 8 gigs RAM and a GeForce 740M. It does not seem to overheat by most people's standards, it has never come near 80 degrees C. I have run Malware bytes and that has not solved anything. The flash driver (adobe) is up to date.

I don't do anything too risky with the computer as far as downloads. I don't know why this is happening. I am seriously considering a full refund.

My last HP

Was my last HP. HP had me on the phone for 8 hours then they sent a box. That was the last time it worked good enough to get some use from it. After their repair it would lock up in 5 minutes. 6 months of calls and web surveys sent me the message they had no intention of making good. Besides the bug was in the BIOS and HP claims they buy it and can't fix code in the BIOS.

This is not the HP I knew years ago.

The support will demand you or let them restore the machine to factory conditions and more. I let them do all that and luckily it was a machine supplied by the office. Still a sad story and now I have 2 reasons to give the nod to return rather than let them fix it.

So they never returned the machine and gave your company their money back?

And they never fixed it and said no refund as it was not bought from them.

It's an untrustworthy company to us. We wrote it off and I share the story when the name comes up.
