"My Music", Win XP

Nov 23, 2004 1:35AM PST

Everytime I play or even try to delete one of my songs, it does it okay but it also copies it. And when I try to delete the copy it simply copies it again. I therefore have scads of copies of all my music. What's going on? Strange.

There was a virus/trojan/worm/other that was known to spread in such a way.

Tell about what you do about such pests.

Bob, I'm sorry. I do not understand your post. Would you mind elaborating a little? Are you pointing to a site? (I must say, have been suspicious of a virus causing this behaviour, but only the "My Music" seems affected).

Thanks, Bob.... I ran Spybot and (apparently) cleared the problem...but only after miles of deleting deleting deleting.
