My mp3 player won't power up!

I have a blueberry cat mp3 player. It contains a rechargeable battery like a mobile phone. i just connected it to my pc, downloaded the latest filmware (it was the good version). I didn't notice any problems while installing it. But when i reached for the player and wanted to see, what's new, i noticed it won't power up! What could cause this???
