Since the mouse is freezing do you think it's the mouse?

-> I'm only asking you try to follow the forum note about supplying details. There's not enough here to avoid a trip to the repair shop.

Freezing Mouse
Aug 15, 2006 12:58AM PDT

I'm guessing that from what this person has said that the cursor either freezes on the screen, or the cursor entirely disappears. I've had this problem periodically for years, off and on. Different computers, different mice, and From what I've seen I think it's a graphics issue. Too many programs open and/or running a graphics-intensive program for a long period.
My usual solution is to try to close a few programs and get back to the desktop. The cursor usually reappears at that point.
I don't know for sure what the cause of the problem is, for sure, though.
Hope this helps a little.

mouse freezing
Aug 12, 2006 2:10PM PDT

the mouse and the cord have been replaced. It works fine for a while then it stops and I have no mouse. The computer still is working but the mouse is not. I have run spy bot, adaware and registry fix they all say there are no problems. If more info is needed please specify, thank you.

The forun note asks with each posting.

If you don't feel like telling that's fine.

I have got the same problem in Win98

I found that the mouse freezed only whenever after I have visited a suspecious website.
I tried not going to that website and now my mouse never freezes again!

So, the conclusion is that your PC should have mal-ware, maybe spyware, but not virus!

I am now using WinXP with AVG and Sygate installed!
I may install SpyBot S&D when needed.
