That "detecting" these microphones was never a feature of the usual PC. This is a recent (read as not always working) feature.
Forever it seems you would just select which input to record from and test. New to PC folk that thought detection works are going to be lost here.
I bought new headset Vulcan PRO (gaming headset from Asus) and now the windows detects only the mic from laptop but not from my headphones.
Even when i set the mic from headset to be default program, it still detects only Realtek laptop mic. And its all the same no matter what i do it still detects only the laptop mic or if i disable the laptop mic i doesnt detect anything.
Things i tried:
1. I tried troubleshoot
2. I tried to reinstall realtek
3. Tried to install latest version realtek.
4. Tried to stop realtek from services and run it again.
5. Tried to re-plug my mic
6. tried every option in recording and playback devices
