I have another Netgear model and had connectivity issues. It looks like the discussions in the Netgear forums paid off as I installed a prior version of firmware in the router and now it's fine.
Did you check the Netgear forums?
Did you try a prior firmware or current version?
Bob
I have a 17-inch Late 2011 Macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.5. More often than not, when I turn it on to connect to the office router (Netgear WNR2000), I would get a (!) on the wifi indicator of my Mac. Restarting the Mac won't get me anywhere. What I need to do is to restart the router so that I would be able to connect to the network. This is getting annoying, not only for me but especially to my boss. I am the only one using a Mac in our office against 6 Windows-based laptops, of whom none encounter such persistent problem.
What can I do? Please Help.
Many thanks!
