My LN52A860 screen tilts down, how do I adjust it straight?

My LN52A860 screen tilts down, how do I adjust it straight?

It breaks my heart . . .

The only way I can describe it is that the screen is supposed to look like this on the stand: _|_

Mine looks kinda like this _\_ , if the left side is the front

Samsung Tech, please help! How do I straighten it? It's such a beautiful TV and it's the only thing bugging me.

just in case...

if you determine that your stand post is bent (and don't mind having a red bordered stand from an a 850), I will be glad to sell you one at a very reasonable price (I've mounted my 850 IN the wall...yes, not on the wall but flush IN the wall).

Cheers!

Quick question here..

Is the stand itself bent? And are the mounting screws for the stand properly securing the television?

I'm trying to understand why it's bending forward.

I don't know the compatibility of the stands, so I can't make a recommendation on that.

HELP!! MY monitor is also crooked!
May 2, 2009 6:47AM PDT

I was cleaning my computer table & I cannot figure out how to mount my monitor back on its' stand tilting UP the way it was.

It is leaning far too forward at a slant, the same way as the previous person described.

No, the little desktop stand is not bent, I was cleaning it & can't figure out how to put it back at an upward tilt!

There are 4 slots in the bottom corners of the monitor, 1 in the middle & 1 in the back, but it's swivel is extremely limited.

Help!

Thank You CNET Forum!

deborahsampson,

I'm not sure what I can offer from here. I've not heard of monitors being tilted forward, and I'm trying to vision what you're describing. Do you have a picture of it that you can post to photobucket or imageshack.com?

Thanks so much for your inquiry!

An accurate picture (of a sort) is available at the site of the original post (not mine, someone else's) who described the same problem.

Sorry, I have no picture...perhaps this will help you as it helped me: / <<< is how my monitor is tilted, facing me.

I prefer it up, like this: \ <<< facing me.
THANKS, AGAIN!

deborahsampson,

I checked that eMachine monitor, and it looks like it has a swivel stand. You should be able to push the bottom of the bezel forward, and that should allow the monitor to swivel back upwards.

Does that help?
