My LG VX6100 clock is flaky since DST

Apr 3, 2005 8:18AM PDT

I have had a LG VX6100 for just a couple months. Today is the start of Daylight Savings Time (I'm on the East Coast) and I cannot figure out how to set the clock. The time keeps switching back and forth on it's own. I've been through every menu, through the manual, and I swear there is no way to edit the time or date.

I've turned the phone off and on, but the time goes back to the wrong hour. I've tried *228 (on Verizon) and taking out the battery. Right now the time is correct, but within the hour it will have "fallen back" again.

I'm really frustrated. Is this common of LG phones?
Thanks in advance!

Your phone probably has a setting to autoupdate the clock. Check the manual. If the feature is active, it attempts to update the time from your carrier.

Nothing in manual

I haven't found a thing in the manual referring to the date or time at all...other than how to change the display from analog to digital.

I think I found the culprit though: where I live..where reception is not strong. All day at work the clock sported the correct hour. As soon as I was home, it went back an hour. It goes back and forth...it's crazy! (It just did it 3 times in the last minute!)

But this still doesn't make sense because ALL of this area is on daylight savings time. Grrrrr
