So far I turn motion processing off and the smart part. LG never did or I never found there response to

The one item that seems to tip this over is the active/passive. For me 3D isn't a big deal so can't weigh in there but if 3D matters, go with what works for you. That seems to be the one point that tips it one or the other way given your post.

I am about to purchase a new LG LED TV ~55' and move my 47" LG LED TV into my bedroom. I have kinda narrowed down my decision to two LG's: 55LM9600 and 55LM8600.
I like the higher 480hz refresh rate and full LED backlit on the 55LM9600, but the reviews, especially here on cnet, led me to believe that it does not live up to it potential.
I would appreciate some help in this decision, or better LG option for under $2K. I want full 1080p, 240hz+ refresh rate, LED, 3D (passive over active). Dont really care about smartTV options or not. Thank you for your help.
