Question

My Led TV has a smudge.

May 11, 2016 3:23PM PDT

In the center of my TV (55 inch magnavox) there is something that looks like a grey smudge. I thought it was a smudge but after cleaning the screen I realized it was under the screen. I can only see it when bright colors appear not the darker ones. I've tried to change all the settings but nothing works.

Answer
This is no Windows 10 change I know of to fix a TV.

Get estimates for the repair. At best they'll replace a top cover screen, at worst they'll tell the LCD needs changing which is more than a new set OOW (out of warranty.)

Is there any other way?

Is there something I could do myself or maybe another solution

I can't answer.

I don't know if you do your own tech work but the changes dimmed by you asking. I will share where I find parts.
1. The maker.
2. Shopjimmy.com
3. Ebay.

There is something worth noting. Once in a while a new tech will ask me if replacing "this" will fix "that." The answer is almost always "maybe."

Answer
smudge or shadow

are you talking about a smudge or a dark shadow? I had a dark shadow and had to replace the tv. there was nothing they could do about it and no settings would fix it. fortunately it was just within the return period at walmart.
