Question

My laptop will not open downloads or run programs

Dec 21, 2014 12:23PM PST

Every time I try to download a program, it says open-save or cancel. I have tried to save & open, but it will not. If by chance something does download, it won't open without trying to pick a program to try to open it with. Which does not work also. HELP!!!

Usually we download a file then install that or a file and open that. Try this first. Create a new account to see if it works there.

how much free space is on the harddrive you are downloading to? try another browser to see if it is a browser issue or something else. you can also boot to safemode with network to see if maybe some security software is blocking the download.

Hi, It may problem with the browser. re install the browser and check it. Also try in different browser. If the problem in the browser try opening us the internet browser in "Internet Explorer(No-add ons)". Else use this command in run windows.

Press WIN + R to open RUN window.

type " iexplore.exe -extoff " and try.
