Sounds like a connectivity issue, suggest taking to competent tech to see if this can be resolved, it could be a fairly simple fix, keeping fingers crossed that it is.
The only thing I see on my laptop screen is a light blue windows 7 screen with nothing on it, but there is one dark blue vertical line on the right side. When I press down on the screen, my desktop with all my icons appears. When I let go, I see that plain blue screen with the vertical line again. Does this sound like a video card issue? I am using a Windows 7 Home OS, a Dell Inspiron N4010. I have a basic Intel(R) HD graphics card and generic PNP monitor.
