My laptop screen crushed, is it possible to change by myself

Hey guys I gotta say I'm totally newbie to laptop. Yesterday my girl crushed the screen! (I put the mouse on the keyboard and half opened the laptop after wathced a movie) and she accidently close the screen, so..

Is it possible I buy the screen online and replace by myself becoz I checked the repaire store is quite expensive, like quite!!

there are people who totally disassemble their oldtimer car and replace 20% of the parts themselves to make it look and function like it was new.
And there are people who go to the garage if their car needs a new wiper.

Same with laptops.
