Try tapping F11 on bootup see if it will go into recovery/repair mode, if so, give that a shot. Am assuming that you went to device manager to reinstall driver to no avail. You could try (in device manager) uninstalling the device, rebooting the computer to see if it will pick it back up from the OS. Worse case scenario would be the drive is bad, in that event, it should be a warranty issue since the unit is but 4 months old. Best of luck.
