Question

My laptop keeps crashing whenever multiple programs are open

May 2, 2018 7:31PM PDT

When I have several things running at once, like Spotify, Google, and a game, for example, it suddenly turns off. When I turn it back on, it takes multiple tries. It begins to start up and then goes dark again, and starts up again and goes dark again a couple times before it finally turns on. I checked the Event Viewer and it was under Event ID 10016. After looking into that for a while, I found a lot of people saying to go into the Component Services tool and change permissions around, so I did that, but the problem still occurs. Can anybody recommend anything?

How long since you cleaned the fans and vents?

I sprayed the vents with compressed air earlier but it didn't help.

More detail might help.

What's the model of your Laptop? And did you checked the CPU usage?

You can try to open one to run for a while and then open the other one to see if it is the program's problem.

And if you want the game runs smoothly, you can set the game to high priority.
