Question

My laptop does not recog. my dvd/cd. I/0 error

Before the I/0 problem it would recognize my dvd/ram/cd/rom now and then. I am not a novice {BUT}

Clarification Request
Could it be the CODE 39 XP issue?

I can't tell from the details so far.

Dvd recog.

I have a toshiba P25-509 6yrs old.Never had the problem until recently maybe after I was transporting it or did a hardrive format. Win Xp

At 6 years, many drives are dead.

And will cough up I/O error.

Try the CD/DVD lens cleaning then try a new DVDRW drive.
