My Laptop cannot lower the Brightness

Oct 25, 2004 9:31AM PDT

I have a Laptop NEC Windows XP Pro SP1 Intel(R) Celeron(TM) CPU 1.00GHz 120MB of RAM.
The problem is I cannot find a way to turn off the Screen Contrast and the Brightness to a bit lower So that it won?t be too shiny or too Bright
Anyone have any ideas that might help?

Thanks!

Sure. If we knew the model number it would help.

Do you see an Fn key?

If you have an ''Fn'' key (and it probably has blue letter for the Fn) then it will be the pressing on that and AND also pushing one other key.

One NEC laptop uses the Fn+F6 or Fn+F7 to adjust the brightness down and up. You probably will notice some sort of light blue icon on the key that signifies the brightness control. Look at the keys.
