I did not check out the keyboard to see if there's a light in the keyboard. You can tell me that.

All the laptops I have today do not have a caps lock LED. They just indicate it with some OSD flash of an icon and that's it.

I can see how folk today would find this move to no LED annoying.

At this point, if the keyboard indicator is failing, just move on and type something to check if it's on or off. That's what I do. Also, 99.99% of my typing does not need a caps lock. If the caps lock key was dead, it might be a month till I noticed.

It has a caps lock LED. So i guess there's no way to repair it ?

Is it hardware or software?

In reply to: It has a caps lock LED

Also there's a design flaw that stretches back decades where in a multi tasking OS some app can change the capslock state and the light is backwards. On can be lower case and off can be all caps. Given it's been 3 decades I don't expect this to be fixed.

What I do see is the caps lock LED is vanishing from a lot of devices.

Since it's something that is annoying but does not stop us from using the PC, it's not a high priority to fix.
