LCD broken
Jun 19, 2005 12:00AM PDT

There have been reports of this problem on some of the Canon Forums.

In most cases, the outer layer of glass (or whatever) is not broken but the inner layer is.

Of course, such a failure can easily be blamed on the user and often is.

But there have been enough reports that there is suspicion of a design flaw.

Since it is under warranty, you should contact Canon.
I would be interested in their current reaction to the problem.

just as you predicted, they blamed it on me, they said that surely it fell or something, but it never fell or never got into any kind of pressure... but i told them it really wasnt my fault, so they said theyd diagnose it first or something to check if it really fell, but there isnt any scratch on it, it was even only less than a week old...theyre gonna let me know tomorrow or the day after it.. if they are convinced that it isnt my fault, they will replace it with a new one..
