I have never been able to download files from websites

on my iPhone.

I was not aware that this functionality was even supported.

Where you trying to download a file? Or were you just visiting a webpage? Mobile Safari does -NOT- support file downloads. You have to use the app store or iTunes app. I can't remember, but it seems like I got this error message on my iPod touch before. I think I went to a site that used weird plugins or something, though. I wasn't actually trying to download a file.

In reply to: What?

Thanks, I was reasonably sure that the iPhone did not support downloads and just before posting my reply I tried to download a small file from MacUpdate to see what the result would be.
I got the same error as she did.
