My internet turns slow/laggy after months of good use?

Hello!

Im a gamer and play games daily, but since last week my internet died for some reason! after months of good use i started lagging in multiplayer games etc. I have already factory resetted both the routers in my house but that didnt seem to help, we have fiber in our house with normal cat 5 cables i believe, we had this problem multiple times now but after a few months this keeps coming back. I hope my explenation was good enough, if not just ask me anything!
