Question

My Internet Explorer has been compromised

Sep 7, 2013 12:30AM PDT

Somehow I managed to get some sort of bug on my IE on my work PC. I'm getting bombarded with ads and sometimes getting redirected to different websites. It's not happening on Chrome. Just on IE. However, some websites I use for work require IE. So, I need to get this fixed. I tried running Malwarebytes (free version), and AVG AntiVirus (free version). Neither found anything, but there's definitely something wrong. I want to try to avoid spending money as it is not my PC. So, does anyone know of a free fix?

I agree pretty much with Grif's plan..One thing not mentioned, that I have found more effective, is to run the sick system in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING, especially when running the Malwarebytes scan..
