Question

My hp envy 15 laptop wont turn on after recovery

Aug 16, 2016 2:00PM PDT

Hello guys!

I've got a hp envy 15-AH151 that I bought in cex and today I started the recovery, because I want it as it was originally from the fabric.

After completing the reset it shuted down and it wasnt able to start up againg, I holded the start button and nothing, so I tried putting the charger in another switch and it did started up. (Now is installing windows)

Why did this happen? It must be a problem with the pc because the first switch were it was plugged when it was recovering is working (I tried my phone charger on it and it works). Please help me find a possible solution guys, sovi can return it to the estore if it is a bad thing... Thank you!

You write it won't turn on, then later "is installing" so I can't tell what state it's in.

I am not asking how can i turn it on again, i am asking why this happened

I was under the impression you wanted to fix the laptop. Why, is something of a forensics investigation which you'll have to get folk on board to dive into.

I'm just an electronics designer, app and more developer and spend spare time helping folk recover their PCs. As a former PC repair shop, I rarely got into why things happen.

Thanks for clearing up what you want to know.
