Is that HP and most makers only support the factory supplied OS. Until you can get back to that you are in a bad way. That is, it could be something forgetting after the OS install or it could be hardware. Even I will not touch such a laptop but advise getting back to the factory supplied OS.
Bob
I have bought envy 14(k1008tx) which has an windows 8.
Well it seemed to be fine but I recognized it has an severe problem on my computer.
It became always freezing and not responding status whenever I do something.
At first the screen was blinking and have alot of blue screen. Like critical process end.
It went fine after I submit the laptop to HP Service Center and got fixed.
Now there is no screen blinking but even now there is too much freezing and not responding. Bluescreen like kernel data inpage error and critical process end are occuring.
I have checked with HP Diagnostistic(UEFI) and checked that it has passed the system checking TEST.
I also enabled Legacy boot and reinstalled windows 8 myself.
What may be the problem? HP requires Evidence for proper service...
(Plus, in task manager disk is 100%. I have disabled homegroup and set RAM settings on Computer-Advanced Settings)
