My Hotspot Shield VPN not getting connected to server at all

Dec 3, 2014 2:36AM PST

Hi.

I am using the Hotspot Shield VPN. Since the day I upgraded from Windows XP to Win 7, it has completely lost connectivity.

The computer simply refuses to connect and immediately shows 'unable to connect' when I put it On.

The VPN is working perfectly OK on all other machines I have, a Mac Air and a Win XP PC. So the problem is definitely with Win 7. (Probably its got something to do with security).

HS has a real lousy and incompetent customer service so I thought to first try asking here as I expect to get better advice than them.

Thanks.

This was spammed too much.

Uninstall it and use anything else. There is something simple (or not.) Any upgrade to 7 may cause the casual user to explode of drivers and apps needed to get their PC fully working. It's never been automatic. Be sure to get your machine working first then try other VPNs.

Thanks for replying.

Actually downgrading the security settings solved the problem.

Good to know but

It does not excuse the spammed posts or that you can't install and use it without troubles. Both are bad signs.
