I told myself I was gonna let this go but I felt it was far to great a story to let die. A few months back I bought Fable3 for my PC and after setting up my stupid windows live ID so I could play my game I got in a good 20 minutes of the game and grew bored. Soon after I removed the game from my computer and put in on the shelf. Months later my wife decides she would like to play the game so we try to install it on her computer, only to find out that she can't create her own windows ID now because the CD key in registered to me. Simple fix right? wrong....seeing how I never really played I forgot the ID I created....so after a few hours of yelling we called tech support.....three transfers later we get Mr. Worthless on the phone. He tells me that in order to help me I need to know the windows live ID so he can look my information up. WHAT?? Isn't that what I called about??? HAHAHAHA ok then he tells me he can see what ID is connected to my game but he can't tell me that information for security reasons, says I need to give him information to verify my account. I give him name, number, address.....everything he asked for, then he says its not enough information to verify my account. After arguing with this seemingly worthless person I asked for his manager....then he tells me his manager can't help me and that they are gonna tell me the same thing he did......lol I yelled at the poor guy and told him it's not his job to tell me what he is going to discuss and work out with the manager before I get lucky enough to talk to them. And of course the wonderful manager gets on the phone and tells me the exact same thing.....Here is the deal......WINDOWS LIVE HELP CANNOT SEE OR ASSIST WITH LOST OR FORGOTTEN WINDOWS ID'S. THEY CAN NOT EVEN SEE THEM IN THEIR SYSTEM. Seems the whole Windows ID thing is something micro soft dreamed up and only Bill Gates can view it. In the end I was told I would be better assisted with the online tech support page rather that real people. SOO I wrapped the rope a bit tighter around my neck and went to the tech page......Okay, if by chance you just forgot your password there is hope for you.....here was the icing on the cake.....after putting in 8 different possible ID's I got a hit....all I had to do is reset the password....so they decided to send me a password reset email....TO THE *&^%ING EMAIL ACCOUNT I'M TRYING TO GET INTO!!!! So now after a few more very upset phone calls I was given the number to get a refund on my game since I can't play this crappy $50 game I bought. OMG I was in shock.....seems I can get my money back without so much as a question.....but no way in he** will I get my WINDOWS LIVE ID BACK!!!
