My Google and Yahoo seach engines default to an ad

Apr 10, 2005 7:31AM PDT
http://online-info.info/ads/?aid=78 is the default I get when I seach using Google and Yahoo. Entering Google.com brings up the ad page, not the Google site. No effect on Alta Vista or Jeeves. This ad also is at the top of web pages, looks like it overrides existing ads. It's even at the top of the CNET pages. Happens in both Firefox and Explorer. Have XP. Ran Norton Scan and Reg Cleaner and nothing found. Have solution? Thanks

Spyware

You are probably infected with a type of spyware. I would suggest downloading SpySweeper (proven to work well for me) or CounterSpy (not too sure about but I hear good things). If these scans come up clean let me know and I'll try a couple other things.

Spysweeper fixed it! Thanks. One more issue I noticed is that in Internet Explorer my Tools/Options, I get a pop up saying 'operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Contact your system administrator'. One more solution would be much appreciated. Thanks for the Spysweeper solution.
