My Former Orange Wireless Router - Is It Useful?

I've been a customer of Orange's wireless service for many years now but I've decided to switch to O2 for a cheaper deal. I'm all set up with O2, I've got my MAC address and they're in the process of transferring me over to their own service.
However as O2 have sent me their own box which I'm about to install, I still have the old Orange wireless box in my possession, so I was wondering...
Would it be possible to use my old Orange wireless box as a router to further increase the range of my current network?
The box itself is the Livebox 1.1 model as featured on this page:
Anyway I'd just like to use it to further increase my range, its an older box I know but still, I thought it might come in handy to have a greater range, thanks to those who help and if anyone has any other uses of this Orange wireless box then please let me know, I'm all for experimenting with this kind of thing Happy
